TEFAF Stand 178

In his search for artistic excellence and the ultimate in aestheticism, Philippe Denys scours Europe from East to West and North to South looking for rare and exceptional objects of art of he XXth Century: furniture, glass, ceramics, silver or textiles.

As a concrete expression of his passion and research, and to give them the space they deserve, he has decided to enlarge his gallery at the Sablon in Brussels, giving amateurs and collectors a superb window onto XXth Century European art. The passionate Philippe Denys is more than just an antique dealer, he is an ambassador for beauty...

An expert in 20-century European art

Born in Ghent in 1949, Philippe Denys, who has a doctorate in Slavic Studies, studied at the universities of Brussels and Vienna.
In 1993 he took part for the first time in the Belgian Antique-Dealer’s Fair.
He has taken part in the ”Biennale des Antiquaires“ in Paris since 1994.
Since 1996, Philippe Denys has taken part annually in the Maastricht European Fine Art Fair (TEFAF).
Since 1997 he has exhibited every year in the International Fine Art and Antique Dealer’s Show in New York (IFAADS).
His participation in these different fairs has resulted in many successful sales to museums in Europe, the USA and Japan, as well as major collectors throughout the world. Being an antique dealer is, to him, a way of satisfaying his curiosity at all levels – intellectual, aesthetic and emotional.
